The Japanese occupied the Philippine islands for three years. The Americans returned with General Douglas McArthur leading the fleet with many Filipinos. Although they were able to defeat the Japanese, many areas of the Philippines were left in rubbles. In 1946, Filipinos acheived their freedom from the United States.
The Philippines climate is tropical. Typically, is is humid almost everyday. Twenty six degrees Celsius is the average temperature. The two seasons in the Philippines are dry and wet but this is not the case in some provinces. In normal conditions March , April and May have dry weather and mansson is from June to November. Typhoons also visit some of the island during the rainy months. Several Philippine islands also enjoy a cool climate from December until the early weeks of February.

A beautiful landscape can be scene in city Baguio. It also offers a cool climate particularly during December. National Capital Region is in the centre of Luzon is the NCR in which Manila belongs. The Malacañang Mansion is the accommodation of the president of the State. North end of Pasig river is its location.
Popular tourist destinations in Visayas are Aklan, Boracay Island, as well as Cebu. The beaches in Boracay are famous even in other countries because it is very fine and white. Cebu is another modern city like Manila however it is near the beaches of Mactan.
