Many islands together make country 'Philippines'. It is located in the waters of South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean, surrounded on all sides by water.  Tourists visit the Philippines to experience the natural wonders offered there.

Southeast asian nation of Philippines is chain of islands situated in Pacific ocean. The total number of islands is 7107. The neighboring countries are Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, China and Palau.

The people living there come from diverse backgrounds. Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are the three major islands in the Philippines. The official language of the Filipinos is called Filipino but other dialects are also spoken in other regions.

Negritos is what the first Filipinos were called. Prior to the people from other countries even reaching the country, they were here. The first Filipinos started during the ninth century, trading was one of the activities. Among these are Indonesia and China. Both India and Malaysia have traded goods for a long time with the Philippines.

The country was discovered by 16th century Spanish explorers Ferdinand Magellan was the first Westerner to reach the Philippines and develop relationships with Filipinos.  In the 16th century spaniards arrived on the islands. Local ruler Lapu-Lapu had Magellan killed, but many other Spanish explorers would set up missions around the Philippine islands. It was started in Manila in 1571 and then they conquered the islands one by one. The Spanish regime was fraught with revolution, culminating the in Spanish-American War. The Americans later established the commonwealth government in the Philippines until the Second World War erupted. At the end people of Philippines achieved freedom in some years after end of second world war

The Japanese occupied the Philippine islands for three years. The Americans returned with General Douglas McArthur leading the fleet with many Filipinos. Although they were able to defeat the Japanese, many areas of the Philippines were left in rubbles. In 1946, Filipinos acheived their freedom from the United States.

The Philippines climate is tropical. Typically, is is humid almost everyday. Twenty six degrees Celsius is the average temperature. The two seasons in the Philippines are dry and wet but this is not the case in some provinces. In normal conditions March , April and May have dry weather and mansson is from June to November. Typhoons also visit some of the island during the rainy months. Several Philippine islands also enjoy a cool climate from December until the early weeks of February.

The Philippine islands is privileged with born attractions which is the cerebrate why it attracts more visitors every assemblage. From north to south there are beautiful places, you will get tired but site seeing is worth. In Luzon some of the interesting places are Baguio, and Ilocos Norte. A beautiful landscape can be scene in city Baguio. It also offers a cool climate particularly during December. National Capital Region is in the centre of Luzon is the NCR in which Manila belongs. The Malacañang Mansion is the accommodation of the president of the State. North end of Pasig river is its location.

Popular tourist destinations in Visayas are Aklan, Boracay Island, as well as Cebu. The beaches in Boracay are famous even in other countries because it is very fine and white. Cebu is another modern city like Manila however it is near the beaches of Mactan.

Davao is one of the cities you should visit in Mindanao. The Philippine Eagle can be found living there. In the region of Davao is Samal Island, known for its beautiful, clean beach and Mount Apo, the tallest mountain in the Philippines.

It also offers a cool climate particularly during December. The National Capital Region (NCR), that is the start of Manila, is located in the middle of Luzon The Malacañang Mansion is the accommodation of the president of the State. It is near the north edge of the Pasig River.

Three locations that must be visited upon any visit for Visayas are Boracay Island, Cebu and Aklan. Due to their extremely fine, white sands, Boracay's beaches are renown even in other countries. Though a modern city like Manila, Cebu lies close to the beaches of Mactan.

In Mindanao, Davao is one of the cities you should visit. The Philippine Eagle can be found living there. Davao has Samal Island which has a pristine beach and Mount Apo which is the tallest peak in the country.
